Retro Annie was a peculiar girl, she wore a hat made of beer bottle tops and string, with grannie dresses covered in rhinestone bling. She wanted to but couldn’t sing and hated people that liked the greedy sound of ka-ching. She didn’t like dogs, she had a rabbit instead and took her for walks in a green buggy. Her dreams she would study her clumpy shoes never got muddy even though she walked for miles up the gully. The smell of chocolate made her skin tingle, she wished she was bilingual, never one to knit, she didn’t submit always dancing to the tune of those that don’t give a shit.
