The NK Collection

Ai ShinoharaAzami and Egor watched Katsumi struggle to break free of the trap they had set for him. Azami was incensed by Katsumi’s spiteful behaviour. He had mocked the reflections in the water that revealed her new identity. When the glimmering scales started to appear on her skin he shouted and cursed she was inflicted with a despicable disease. She didn’t believe him but all her friends did. She had loved Katsumi, but now she wanted revenge. It was Egor’s idea to leave Azami’s school uniform floating on the water, it was certain Katsumi would see it, freak and dive in looking for her. And now here he was tied up in podostemum. He flapped and flailed while Azami transformed before his eyes. Her exquisite fins breezed into being. Crystalline spikes emerged for her protection. Now resting on the bed of plants, Egor the fish and Azami watch Katsumi sink down into the abyss. Artwork by Ai Shinohara Story by Nikki Kilburn.

Hey, yea I really like Murakami, his abstract style and nuances into the bleakness of the subconscious are mesmerising. I’m glad you like my writing 🙂
